Who We Are
Agilecom’s founders and
chief executives are veteran engineers and manufacturing professionals in the fiber optics industry. We design
and manufacture optical components for many of the world’s
leading corporations including leaders in communications,
the military, security systems, and others. Our headquarters
are located in San Jose, California, and our world-class
equipment, quality control system and volume manufacturing
facilities are in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, China.
Agilecom is capitalized in part by private investors.

Our comprehensive product line of active and passive
optical equipment includes fiber optics components,
couplers, splitters, and laser diodes. Our services
include laser diode packaging, waveguide PLC device
packaging, and customized fiber optic photonic devices
and modules.
We stand out from our competitors by our consummate
expertise in photonic packaging and product development,
from concept design through engineering, qualification
and volume manufacturing. We also provide customized
new product design, development, qualification and contract
manufacturing for different passive and active photonic
devices/modules packaging, including laser diode packaging,
AWG waveguide packaging and other functional photonic
devices/modules integration.
Our Products
In 1880, Alexander Graham Bell
patented an optical telephone system. But the atmosphere
did not seem to transmit light as reliably as wires
could carry electricity, and the project was shelved.
His prior invention, the telephone, was more practical.
Today, the future has caught up with the past, and the
implementation of fiber optics has revolutionized the
way business is done globally. The world relies heavily
on fiber optics and fiber optics networks for commerce,
communication, education and entertainment, in the form
of telephones, the Internet, LANs, utilities, security
systems, and many more. In fact, 90% of all long distance
telephony and 50% of local service now use fiber, and
new developments in optical technology are appearing
at lightening speed, inciting new types of fiber optics
networks.
Agilecom’s fiber optic portfolio offers the entire,
vast spectrum of optical networking solutions, including
couplers, splitters and laser diodes.
We have three categories of products:
* Products for FTTH: These products include waveguide-based
1x8 to 1x32 PLC splitters and reliable 1x2 to 4x4 fused
fiber devices. The fused fiber devices can work at high
temperature of over 350ºC.
* Products for agile-optical networks: These include
patent-pending technologies of tunable lasers sources
and tunable filters covering C- or L-band.
* InP technologies for ultra-broadband laser diodes
at 850 nm, 1310 nm and 1550 nm bands with 3-dB bandwidth
of over 60 nm for biophotonics, fiber optic sensor systems
and fiber optic test and measurement.
All of our optical components are designed and manufactured
under the highest standards of quality control. We have
four product platforms with a comprehensive product
portfolio to address the many fast-growing fiber optic
markets, including FTTH, flexible fiber optic networks
with wavelength routing, including diversified photonic
applications of sensor systems and biophotonics.
Our highly reliable FTTH products include planar-light
wave circuit-based 1x8 to 2x64 PLC splitters (PLCS)
and reliable 1x2, 4x4 and 1x8 fused biconic fiber devices
(FBFD). The fused fiber devices can work at high temperatures
of over 350ºC for different sensor systems in harsh
environments such as oil/gas exploration wells and transmission
pipelines. We also provide high reliable glass and silicon
fiber array block unit (FABU). The PLC platform products
also include packaged AWG modules and other packaged
waveguide devices.
Our core technology products for agile-optical networks
include patent-pending technologies of wavelength specific
laser sources (WSLS), colorless wavelength-division-multiplexer
laser sources, 4-wavelength LX4 laser source, wavelength
tunable laser sources (WTLS) and tunable filters covering
C- or L-band. We also have unique InP technologies for
ultra-broadband laser diodes at 850 nm, 1310 nm and
1550 nm bands with 3-dB bandwidth of over 50 nm for
bio-photonics, fiber optic sensor systems and fiber
optic test and measurement.

Our Locations
Agilecom has two primary facilities.
Our headquarters in San Jose, California hosts our engineering,
quality control, marketing and customer support departments.
Our main manufacturing facility in Zhongshan, China
features state of the art machines and equipment for
volume production, and employs the mostly highly skilled
and educated technicians in the fiber optics industry
